Lorna Luft
Biography
Lorna Luft is an American actress and singer born in Santa Monica, California, to Judy Garland and Sidney Luft. She made her show business debut at age eleven singing on a 1963 Christmas episode of The Judy Garland Show and later studied theater at HB Studio in New York City. Her Broadway debut came in 1971 as a replacement in Promises, Promises. Luft appeared in Grease 2 (1982), Where the Boys Are (1984), and My Giant (1998), and on television she played Nurse Libby Kegler during the final season of Trapper John, M.D. She toured as Adelaide in Guys and Dolls from 1992 to 1994 and appeared in the U.K. tour of White Christmas: The Musical. Luft wrote the 1998 memoir Me and My Shadows: A Family Memoir, adapted into an Emmy-winning miniseries, and released her debut album Lorna Luft: Songs My Mother Taught Me.
