Larry Laverty

Larry Laverty is an American character actor from Berkeley, California. He trained with the American Conservatory Theater, The Groundlings and The Second City while performing in stage plays and musicals, and his second film appearance, in 1990, was a soldier in The Fourth War, directed by John Frankenheimer. Early leading parts came in two short films by the Irish filmmaker Dermot Tynan, A Talk in the Dark and The Biscuit Eaters. He has worked in over 100 films, among them Gus Van Sant's Elephant (2003), The Hamiltons (2006), in which he played Larry Davies, Dead Tone (2007), Radio Dreams (2016) and The Control Group (2014). His television guest roles include Judging Amy and The Practice, and he appeared on the soap operas Days of Our Lives, Passions, Port Charles and All My Children. He also produced films such as Kid (1993) and has published books of wildlife photography.
