Born in Glasgow, Scotland, UK, Joseph immigrated to Canada with his father, a former merchant marine. After attending high school in Truro, Nova Scotia he attended The National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal, PQ. In addition to his work as an actor, he has released three albums independently. He has performed at POP Montreal, Canada Music Festival and NXNE.
