Dion Mucciacito

Born in Anchorage, Alaska and raised in Southern California, Dion Mucciacito had to overcome many obstacles before finding his way to acting. He would ultimately die in a drunk driving accident at the age of 48. Through all of this, Dion's extended family came together to help raise him and his older brother Dominic. With the support of his family he was able to develop his interest in acting while in high school. Although he was an athlete who loved boxing and martial arts, he found the emotional engagement in acting therapeutic and rewarding in ways that sports weren't. Dion eventually attended the University of California at Santa Barbara where he studied Film. As an undergraduate he took an interest in post colonial theory and found a love for political activism. After graduating UCSB, Dion continued his development as a performing artist at the Juilliard School.
