Derek Deadman
Biography
Derek Deadman was an English character actor whose British film and television career spanned 38 years. Born in London, he started out in small television parts before taking the larger role of Rankin in the RAF service comedy Get Some In! in 1975 and 1978. He played Ringo across 39 episodes of Never the Twain between 1981 and 1991, and he also played Commander Stor, a Sontaran, in Doctor Who's The Invasion of Time. His film work took in The Canterbury Tales (1972), Jabberwocky (1977), Time Bandits (1981), Brazil (1985) and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991). He was Tom, the barman of the Leaky Cauldron, in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001). He died in 2014.
