Dante
Biography
Dante is a comedian who grew up in Ridgecrest, California, and knew from childhood that he wanted to perform. He began stand-up in 1986 at the La Jolla Comedy Store in San Diego. Since then he has played clubs across the United States and made regular appearances at military bases around the world, entertaining troops more often than any other comedian since Bob Hope. Television viewers know him from season five of NBC's Last Comic Standing, where he took every audience favorite award and earned the show's first standing ovation during the semi-finals. He voiced the Asian Porn segment of InAPPropriate Comedy (2013) and wrote for E!'s Fashion Police. His prizes include a grand prize on ABC's America's Funniest People and a record number of honors at the BET Comedy Awards, as well as the Funniest Black Comic in LA title. He also produced comedy specials released on DVD.
