Charleene Closshey

Biography

Charleene Closshey is an American actress, musician, composer and producer who grew up in Plant City, Florida, and began playing piano at age 2 before adding flute, clarinet, harp and viola. She made her Broadway debut in 2014 in the musical Once, where she understudied two roles. Her screen credits include the thriller A Thousand Cuts (2012) with Michael O'Keefe, the holiday film An Evergreen Christmas (2014) opposite Robert Loggia and Naomi Judd, and No Postage Necessary (2018), an indie dramedy she starred in and produced, promoted as the first movie distributed using blockchain technology. With Jeremy Culver she created the musical Feather, staged during the 2013 New York Musical Theatre Festival. She has released several albums, and her album Aligned: A Planetary Mantra and Gong Shower earned a 2022 Hollywood Music in Media Award for best ambient/new age song.
