Plot summary
Two men are badly hurt at the same time on Halloween night. George Miller, a depressed artist, jumps from a hotel roof and is taken to a hospital, where doctors revive him. The same night, Vito Minelli dies after he is shot multiple times and set on fire for angering the mob when he cannot pay off his gambling debts. George is nursed back to health and begins to have nightmares about Vito's life. Dr. Jennifer Curtis, his psychiatrist, thinks he is mentally ill. Lt. Ashley, who is investigating a series of brutal murders, believes George is responsible for them.
