Did you know?!Facts and trivia about My Blueberry Nights (2007)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Wong Kar-wai's first choice to play Elizabeth was singer Norah Jones, who had no prior acting experience; he called her "a natural" and instructed that she not take acting lessons.
- Wong Kar-wai wanted Rachel Weisz as Sue Lynne, so when he learned she was pregnant he filmed the Memphis scenes last, allowing her time to give birth and recuperate before she began work.
- My Blueberry Nights grew out of a Wong Kar-wai short titled In the Mood for Love 2001, screened only once at Cannes in 2001; another chapter of the anthology he had planned became In the Mood for Love (2000).
- Because Ely, Nevada offered no suitable location, the poker scenes set there were filmed in a poker room built inside the Art Bar in downtown Las Vegas.
