Plot summary
Ally Wilson works in marketing at Swans Hotels in Los Angeles and has reached the final two on the dating show Happily Ever After, having signed on largely to promote the company. Tanner Dillon, the bachelor, picks her for the last run of dates, and the show sends them to Winterland, Vermont, the ski resort town Ally left after high school and has not returned to since. Her parents, Tom and Molly Wilson, still live there, and so does her childhood rival Helene. Brett Hollister, her high school sweetheart, never left and now runs his family's Winterlight Inn, where Ally began in the hotel business, and the inn is struggling through shorter and shorter tourist seasons. Producer Lauren Burns wants strong television and also wants what is right for the contestants.
