Lathe of Heaven (2002) on Netflix

Plot summary

In a futuristic society, George Orr is troubled by dreams that alter the world around him, and he takes drugs to hold them off. Caught overdosing on someone else's pharmacy card, he is sent by his attorney, Heather Lelache, to a psychologist as a punishment. That psychologist, William Haber, puts him in a machine called an augmentor to reach deep into his mind. Haber hypnotizes Orr into dreaming of a horse standing in a field, and when Orr wakes, a portrait of Lady Godiva astride a horse has appeared on the office wall. Haber then looks for ways to turn the dreams to his own advantage.
