Plot summary
Erin Langford is a graduate journalism student at Stanford who takes a summer internship at a New York City newspaper. At a bar she meets Garrett, and the two spend the rest of her six weeks in the city together, agreeing at first to keep things casual. Erin's married sister Corinne offers her advice, while Garrett's roommate Dan and his friend Box weigh in from the other side. Garrett works for a record label and dislikes the band he has been assigned, while Erin hopes the paper will hire her permanently once the internship is over. When the six weeks end, neither wants to let go.
