Plot summary
In a parody of the sequence that usually opens a Bond film, Britain's star agent is shot dead. A rich American megalomaniac then seizes Queen Elizabeth II. With no agent left to handle the case, the British secret service turns to its French counterpart, the SDECE, which sends four bumbling operatives named Jean, Jean-Guy, Gérard and Phil. Their assignment is to keep the Queen's absence secret while the search moves to Spain and on to Hong Kong, wrecking cars, boats and planes as they go. The story also spoofs Hong Kong martial arts films. Back home, a Parisian concierge, Mme Loubet, is a dead ringer for Elizabeth II and takes the Queen's place in public.
