Plot summary
The businesswoman Sameera Maha shoots DSP Ashok Krishna and says he tried to rape her. Ashok's family hires the lawyer Ratnakar to prosecute, while a bribe brings Sub-Inspector Vikram Vasudev of Coonoor into Sameera's defense. Vikram meets her in a hotel room and presses her for the whole account. She keeps to her claim of rape until he sets out what he knows about her: her husband, the CEO Rahul Maha, is secretly homosexual and she serves as his public beard, and she and Ashok were college sweethearts who parted over class and took up their affair again two years ago. Vikram also carries the file on Vinay Varma, a resort owner whose son Adarsh, a teenage cancer patient, reported him missing a year earlier.
