Plot summary
Stone Spencer lives in Phoenix, Arizona, a retired mobster from the Bonanno crime family who once worked as an undercover consultant for the government. His son Jax is an ICE agent working out of Nogales. When Jax and his fellow agents are ambushed by smugglers of the Matutero Cartel, he is taken to a compound in Mexico. The cartel will free him only if someone moves people, drugs and cartel members across the American border without papers, and the one person he trusts to make that call is his father. The CIA, ICE and DEA refuse to cross into cartel territory, so Stone begins running loads himself while his ex-wife Sophie presses him to bring their son home.
