Plot summary
Chronos, the personification of time, stands as a statue in a desolate landscape. A mortal woman named Dahlia wanders toward him. She dozes into a dream. There she dances in a dress, and her body swallows the statue. When she tries to kiss the unmoving Chronos, he melts away, and she is left sad and lonely. Unusual statues and dandelion seeds on the wind draw her back into dancing.

- Destino's production began in 1945, five years after Fantasia was released, and the film was not completed until 2003-58 years later.
- Destino was storyboarded by Disney artist John Hench and Salvador Dalí for eight months in 1945 and 1946, but production stopped because Walt Disney Studios was in financial difficulty in the World War II era. - A team of about 25 animators deciphered the cryptic storyboards of Salvador Dalí and Disney artist John Hench, helped by the journals of Dalí's wife Gala Dalí and by guidance from Hench himself, to finish the film.
