Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Daydream Believers: The Monkees' Story (2000)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Before filming began, Monkees guitarist Michael Nesmith's lawyer sent producer Harold Bronson a letter threatening legal action over Nesmith's off-screen life being depicted in the movie.
- Monkee Davy Jones wanted to play his own father in the film and was offered $35,000 for a single day's shooting, but turned the role down after asking for twice that amount.
- George Stanchev was almost not cast as Davy Jones because his resume listed his height as 5'10", eight inches taller than Jones and three inches above the producers' height limit for the part; Stanchev called the figure a "wild guess".
