Plot summary
Víctor runs a real estate business in Chueca, the Madrid neighborhood he wants to turn into a gay district in the style of San Francisco's Castro. The apartments he needs belong to elderly women who will not sell, so he murders them and disguises the deaths as suicides, then renovates the flats for well-off gay buyers. The home of his latest victim passes to Rey, who refuses Víctor's offer to buy it because he wants his mother, Antonia, to live there. Víctor has no use for a resident who will not sell, so he looks for a way to get rid of Antonia. The police are searching for the murderer at large in Chueca.
