Plot summary
Singing in a Broadway musical has been Josh's dream since childhood, and word comes from Rainbow Puppy, a friend of Periwinkle, that he should come to New York City that day to try out for her show, Happiness is Magic. Josh is excited and nervous, and the others encourage him. Mr. Salt writes the theater's address in the handy-dandy notebook, and Josh and Blue take a bus called the Skidoo Express. In the city, Josh finds the notebook missing, so Blue plays Blue's Clues to work out where the audition is. At home, the others find the notebook where Josh left it, and Mr. Salt sets off after them with Tickety Tock and Slippery Soap.
