Plot summary

Paul Aufiero lives with his mother on Staten Island and works as a parking garage attendant. He calls himself the world's biggest New York Giants fan, and his family tells him he is doing nothing with his life. He and his friend Sal attend every home game, though they cannot afford tickets and watch from the stadium parking lot on a battery-powered television. Much of Paul's time goes into planning what he will say when he phones the Sports Dogg's post-game radio show as Paul from Staten Island, where he defends the Giants and taunts his rival caller, Philadelphia Phil, an Eagles fan. One night he and Sal spot Quantrell Bishop, Paul's favorite Giants player, and follow him.
