A Small September Affair (2014) on Netflix

Plot summary

Eylül is a young woman of wealth who dates Atil, a successful movie star. She says she is not in love. After a car crash on a trip, she cannot recall the September she has lost, the month her name also means. Unsettled, she goes to Bozcaada with her best friend Berrak, the island where she spent those missing weeks. There she meets Tekin, a soft-spoken local man who keeps to himself because of how he believes he looks. He says they have met before and that she fell in love with him on the island. Unable to remember, Eylül asks him to explain, and he tells it through his caricatures. Berrak warns her that some things are better left unremembered.
