Plot summary
Stop-motion animation frames four horror segments. In The Box, Danny travels by train with his mother Susan when a stranger lets him peer inside a red box, and afterward he refuses to eat; his father Robert and sister Jenny stop eating too. In The Birthday Party, Mary finds David, her husband, dead in his office and hides the body rather than call for help, with her daughter Lucy's party about to begin. In Don't Fall, four friends camp in the desert and find an ancient cave painting of an evil spirit; Gretchen is afraid of heights. In Her Only Living Son, Cora raises Andy in a small town, and as his eighteenth birthday nears his behavior changes.
