This Filthy World (2006) on Netflix

Plot summary

John Waters performs his one-man show on a New York City stage, at the Harry DeJour Playhouse, walking out of a confessional past a heap of garbage and roses. He opens with his earliest influences and the macabre filmmakers who inspired his own movies. Then he moves through his film career one movie at a time, remembering the Dreamlanders he worked with. He also talks about sexual fetishes, court trials he has visited, ways of making books cool again, and his hometown of Baltimore, and jokes about his own looks. Waters has performed the show since around 2003, adding new anecdotes and references to current events.
