Plot summary

In the Southeast at the turn of the nineteenth century, Samuel Mason, a hero of the Revolutionary War, turns to a life of crime and gathers a gang of bandits. The region also has Big Harpe and Little Harpe to reckon with, called by some America's first serial killers, who kill without mercy. Mason's gang and the two Harpes roam the same country, and one wilderness road lies ahead of them all.
