Plot summary
By the 1950s, Macarena Granada has become a star of Hollywood films. She travels to Francoist Spain to act in a big historical epic about Queen Isabella I of Castile, paid for by an American studio. That production is meant to give a better image to the regime of Francisco Franco. In Madrid, Macarena meets again the friends and colleagues of her early career. She also has to deal with the dictatorship that rules the country.
