Plot summary
Janina is a journalist, and her husband Ben is an actor. Maria, Janina's best friend, is with Nils, an estate agent. The four agreed that Janina would live with Nils for four weeks and Maria with Ben, on the understanding that there would be no intimacy between them, so that each could learn what they wanted from a relationship. That month is behind them now, and the two couples come together at a holiday house by the North Sea to talk it through. Before that, their everyday lives in the city show Janina at work with her colleague Anton and her boss Ann-Kathrin, Nils with clients, and Ben on a soap opera set. Most of the days at the house pass with only the four of them in it or on the beach.
