Plot summary
Two humanoid alien visitors arrive on Earth alongside six hundred sixty-six enormous alien machines. The military captures the pair and tries to communicate with the robots, which vaporize anyone who fires a rifle at them; Sidewinder missiles launched from YF-22s leave the machines unharmed and the planes are lost. The woman speaks to soldier Josh Myron and reads his mind, telling him the human race threatens the rest of the galaxy. Unless she is convinced of humanity's worth before sunset, the planet will be destroyed. She gives her name as Sky and can draw on surrounding energy to shield herself.
