Plot summary
Five survivors move through a ruined world: Rick, Adam, Henson, Shannon and Mary. They need food and shelter and carry two jars of seeds they hope to plant. Adam remembers leaving his wife and daughter in a car while he searched an empty suburban house for supplies. The group takes refuge at a farmhouse, debating whether to stay until Henson recovers from his sickness or rest briefly and move on before cannibal tribes find them. The men explore the house while Shannon and Mary go outside to trap game. At a stream, Mary hears someone approaching: a scout for one of the tribes.
