Plot summary
Richard B. Riddick was a convict aboard the Hunter-Gratzner, a transport of forty people bound for the penal colony Slam City, under escort by the bounty hunter Johns, who meant to collect the price on his head. A meteor shower brought the ship down on a desert planet, marooning Riddick with ten survivors. A lawman is now told to find him and bring him in. He goes through the record on Riddick and on the crash, and what he reads frightens him. A female mercenary is brought in to take Riddick alive.
