Plot summary
Romain Faubert is a single man of 39 who earns his living as a medical photographer and cannot stop worrying about his health. Dr. Dimitri Zvenka, the physician he consults and the only friend he has, sees him constantly and comes to the conclusion that his patient's true ailment is solitude. To treat it, Dimitri arranges meetings with women, one after another, and none of them leads anywhere. Looking for another approach, he invites Romain along on a trip to a refugee camp in eastern Europe where he sometimes works for a nonprofit organization, hoping that the sight of real hardship will change his outlook. There Romain is taken for Anton Miroslav, a freedom fighter.
