Plot summary
Zack's father Dereck will not support an early marriage, and Kelly's parents cannot pay for a ceremony, so the couple's Las Vegas plans must be paid for out of the $1,200 Zack has saved. His mother Melanie gives him two passes for the Stardust Hotel. Kelly rides with Lisa in her red BMW; Zack, Slater and Screech take Slater's Bronco, and a bet over who reaches Las Vegas first raises the stakes. A sheriff who dislikes tourists pulls the guys over, finds no registration for the Bronco and arrests them. The girls' fan belt breaks in the desert, and a stranger named Kurt Martin fixes it and asks for a ride to Las Vegas.
