Plot summary
Åsa-Nisse lives in Knohult and spends his days on inventions and on poaching in the forest, so the water pump stays unrepaired. Eulalia is tired of this and protests by swimming in soft drinks and watering the plants with spirits. Nisse sees nothing else to do but repair the pump, and he adds a few extra features to it. He calls it Dunderpumpen. When he starts the machine, the ground rumbles and oil comes up instead of water. The whole village sees its chance to become wealthy.
