Percy Rodrigues

Percy Rodriguez was a Canadian actor whose stage, television and voice work spanned the 1930s to the 1980s. Born in Montreal, he started in Canadian stage plays and television, then moved to New York City, where his Broadway debut came in 1960 with Lillian Hellman's Toys in the Attic. He appeared in James Baldwin's Blues for Mister Charlie and became a life member of the Actors Studio. On television, he was known for projecting quiet authority in programs such as The Nurses, Naked City, The Wild Wild West, Route 66 and Star Trek, and he drew wide notice in 1968 as Dr. Harry Miles in Peyton Place. His screen credits included A Carol for Another Christmas (1964), The Old Man Who Cried Wolf (1970), Genesis II (1973) and Roots: The Next Generations (1979). A prolific voice-over artist, he narrated trailers, TV spots and documentaries, including trailers for Jaws and its sequels, and retired from acting in 1987.
