Lara Parker

Lara Parker, an American actress and writer, was best known for playing the witch Angelique Bouchard Collins on the ABC serial Dark Shadows from 1966 to 1971. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, and raised in Memphis, she began studying philosophy at Vassar College and later earned degrees from Rhodes College and the University of Iowa. She reprised Angelique in Night of Dark Shadows (1971). She appeared opposite Robert De Niro in Hi, Mom! (1970) and played Margo in the drama Save the Tiger (1973). In Race with the Devil (1975), she was Kelly Marsh. On television, she played Laura Banner in the pilot of The Incredible Hulk and guest-starred in series such as Kung Fu, Kojak, Hawaii Five-O, and The Rockford Files. Her Broadway debut came in 1968 with Woman Is My Idea. Later she wrote novels, beginning with Angelique's Descent in 1998, and voiced audiobooks of her first three books. She died in 2023.
