Kwajalyn Brown

Kwajalyn Brown is an American actress who works across film, television, and theater. From Jacksonville, Florida, she began as a singer, performing and recording locally, and during high school she played a part in Little Shop of Horrors; that production let her combine singing and acting and led her to focus on an acting career. In 2012 she moved into producing when she joined the web series Black & Single, in which she also played Vivian Lane, a hard-edged attorney and the main adversary of the lead character. After appearing in many plays and short films, she earned her film breakthrough as April in Universal 1440's Honey: Rise Up and Dance (2018), shot in Atlanta in 2017. On television she has had recurring roles, including Sheila on Cobra Kai and Judge Tara Flint on Drop Dead Diva.
