In Los Angeles David studied four years with acting-theorist and author Stephen Book, amongst other top acting coaches. Much earlier in Chicago he was taught by Del Close, one of the premier influences on modern improvisational theater at Chicago's ImprovOlympic. Then he graduated from Chicago's Second City with fellow SCTC student Tim Meadows learning under various teachers including Don DePollo. David later helped create Chicago sketch comedy groups including one with comedian Paul Gilmartin, co-host of TBS' long-running "Dinner & a Movie" (1996). Born in the southern blue-collar suburbs of Chicago, David was the youngest of eight children born to Willard and Leila Boller, who in their 40s with a new baby, had children spanning 22 years in age difference. David was always surrounded by a creative and fun-loving extended family in Northwest Indiana, yet by the time he was 12 all of his siblings had moved out the house. Read more on iMDB
