Bryan was born in the Philippines but grew up in North Carolina, having moved with his adoptive parents from an orphanage in 1993. He began his first martial arts lessons in Balintawak Cuentada at age 15, and since then has learned other systems of combat and fighting. Bryan began his official professional career as a stuntman at age 20 when he moved to Los Angeles, CA.
