Arifin Putra
Biography
Arifin Putra is an Indonesian actor who started out in television, appearing in Indonesian series, commercials, shorts and music videos before moving into film. Born in Mainz, Germany, he was three when his family settled in Indonesia. His first feature was Lost in Love (2008), a teen romance that followed Eiffel I'm in Love. Horror work in Macabre (2009) and, above all, the part of an ambitious mob boss's son in the action thriller The Raid 2: Berandal (2014) brought him wider attention, and that film was the first of his to be shown in the United States and other major markets. He is drawn to roles that test him and unsettle what audiences expect of him.
