Anna Pniowsky

Anna Pniowsky is an actor who won widespread critical praise for playing Rag, the lead in the drama Light of My Life (2019), opposite Casey Affleck and Elizabeth Moss. Rolling Stone called her especially phenomenal, admired how she expressed vulnerability, curiosity, and anger, and found her performance heartbreaking. She played a very different role as Heather, a popular girl on the Hulu series Pen15, which was nominated for an Emmy. She was also a series regular on NatGeo's Hot Zone, acting with Emmy winners Julianna Margulies and Noah Emmerich. In the heartfelt comedy Judy Small she appeared alongside Alicia Silverstone and Rob Corddry, and the Los Angeles Times described her as one of the most genuine 13-year-olds it had seen on screen in a long time. The Los Angeles Times also called her a sterling juvenile performer, and RogerEbert.com compared her to fierce child actors such as Tatum O'Neal, Kristy McNichol, and Jodie Foster.
