Plot summary
Susan, a successful horror and crime novelist from California, moves with her new husband David to a remote English hamlet, into a house he bought in the hope that it would help her with her writing. Fifteen years earlier, a group of young anarchists camping in the snow-covered wilderness to stop the construction of a motorway bypass was brutally murdered. Susan becomes uneasy when she sees the house's gamekeeper Peck having sex in the woods, and he later exposes himself to her. Inside the house she keeps seeing visions of bloody bodies, a killer and other people who appear and disappear.
