Plot summary

In a dystopian Malaysia, the Segregation Act bans the country's ethnic groups from mixing, and a Cantonese-speaking Chinese family is forced to leave its home and move into a rural kampong house shortly after the law is implemented. They arrive to find a Malay girl still hiding inside, frightened. Sheltering her is against the strictly enforced law, and the family weighs whether to turn her away or to move her to safety.
