Plot summary

Nelson Hirsch is a twenty-five year old real estate agent. He and Angelo Ferraro have agreed on a deadline to tell their families about the two of them. Nelson puts off the talk with Martin and Shirley, who keep hoping he will marry a Jewish girl. Out of circumstance, Martin and Shirley take Angelo for Nelson's decorator and think his partner is their neighbor Sybil Williams, a Playpen Playmate of the month. Carmine and Terry Ferraro, Angelo's parents, have their own trouble with the pairing. Martin and Shirley also worry how relatives and friends, among them Martin's employer Moisha, will take the news that their son loves a man who is not Jewish.
