Miss Marx (2020) on Netflix

Plot summary

Eleanor Marx, known as Tussy, is the youngest daughter of Karl Marx and among the earliest women to connect feminism and socialism. She works as a translator and an actress, campaigns for children's rights and organizes labor, and joins the battles of the workers of her day. She wants to continue the work of her father and holds her own with the leading socialists of her time, among them her father's colleague Friedrich Engels. In private she is vulnerable. In 1883 Edward Aveling enters her life, a playwright whose charm hides a selfish nature and a careless way with money. Her attraction to him leads her into misery.
