Plot summary

The theatrical version of a 2011 comedy tour is built around Kevin Hart's stand-up. He performs for two days at L.A. Live's Nokia Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, a stop on a 90-city run that sold more than $15,000,000 in tickets. The two-night stand passed $1.1 million in sales, breaking Eddie Murphy's record for a live comedy event of that length. Backstage footage and a visit to Philadelphia, where Hart worked as a shoe salesman and won amateur comedy competitions before leaving the job to perform full time, are also part of the film.
