Copacabana (2010) on Netflix

Plot summary

Babou, whose full name is Elisabeth Delmotte, has spent her life ignoring the rules other people follow. Jobs, husbands and responsibilities have never held her for long, and she is happy that way. Her daughter Esméralda, known as Esmé, sees her mother differently: she is getting married and will not put Babou on the guest list because she is ashamed of her. The exclusion stings, and Babou decides to prove she is worth something. She takes a position selling time-share flats at the Belgian coast, working through the off-season, determined that her daughter will have reason to be proud of her.
