Plot summary
Isabella Drupel was a witch and a vampire, staked through the chest and burned in the fourteenth century, and the cellar of a castle is where she hangs chained to a wall. Satanists there cut out the hearts of virgins and drink their blood to keep her alive until the 25th moon, when she can reincarnate in another body. The castle has a new owner, Jack Nelson, who has waited 500 years for her return. He throws an engagement party for his niece Laureen, who is marrying Richard Brenton; an occultist and his servant also live in the castle, many of the male guests are vampires, and most of the women were among the girls who once called for the witch to burn.
