Plot summary
At the turn of 1962 and 1963, Kalina Jedrusik is a star at the height of her fame. She is the happy wife of Stanislaw Dygat, and she has a romance with a young singer, which her husband accepts. Her shameless joy in life offends many people. After she performs at Barbórka, Kalina learns that the authorities were shocked by the cross she wore on a deep neckline, and she is banned from appearing on television. A high-ranking official at the network, whose affection she did not return, sees his chance to take revenge.
