Plot summary
The Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest in the world, lies in southern Bangladesh and is known for its rich wildlife, among it the Royal Bengal tiger, crocodiles and dolphins. Pirates have for years plagued the region with abductions and poaching. Children belonging to the Children's Film Society set out to visit those mangroves, joined by renowned poets, writers and filmmakers and by two volunteers, Ratul and Trisha. Sundarban can be reached only when the tide is high. The tide falls, and the group's ship is left stuck. Local pirates are then spotted approaching, and once they come aboard, everyone on the vessel is taken hostage.
