Plot summary
Book-like chapters, each given to one subject, follow keepers, scientists and physicians who work with venomous reptiles from their early lives through their careers. Interviewees describe a childhood interest in reptiles, often beginning with dinosaurs, that led to work with venomous snakes, and they stress learning under experienced mentors and starting with less lethal species. The chapters turn more scientific as the film goes on, taking up biology, conservation, venom collection, animal husbandry, antivenom production, emergency medicine, veterinary medicine, toxicology, toxinology, and law and public policy.
