Plot summary
The photographer sets out with a writer on a trip into the Tibetan highlands, and shows his companion how to wait from a blind spot, how to track animals and how to find the patience to catch sight of them. For several weeks the photographer and the writer stay in the peaks, watching the creatures and the landscapes around them and considering where humankind belongs among them. What they are looking for is the snow leopard, one of the rarest of the big cats and among the hardest to approach, in a region whose animals mostly remain out of sight.
